Question: Lately my dog seeks the solitude of the hall, how can I help him to be more social?
Answer: He may not be 100% healthy, so I'd get a vet to check on him. If he is healthy, it may be cooler in the dark hall, so he is seeking more cooler/comfortable conditions. Is there tension in the house? If yes, he could be removing himself from it.
Does he get attention for going to the hall? For example, if he stays in the room, no one notices. However if he leaves he gets called back and played with. Dogs ALWAYS do what gets them the most attention.
